Weekly Photo Challenge: Story

I decided to take the buggy ride on my recent trip to Lalbagh Botanical Garden. Apart from the lake, glass house and lots and lots of flowers, I saw many interesting trees.

Before you ask me “what is so interesting about trees?”, let me show you a picture.

This is just an ordinary looking tree you say?

The name of this tree is Ficus Krishnae and there is a story attached to this name. The leaves of this tree are in the shape of a spoon. It is believed that Yashoda (Lord Krishna’s mother) used the leaves of this tree as a spoon to feed butter to Lord Krishna .

Have a closer look at one of the leaves.

Doesn’t it look like a spoon?

Now, isn’t this an interesting little story? 🙂
