Blindly in love

“Bhaiyya!! Happy Raksha Bandhan. You are the best brother in the whole wide world!”

“Aww, my lovely little sister, thank you so much. Here’s your gift.”

“Bhaiyya! Wow! A mobile phone! You are the best brother..”

“in the whole wide world. I know, I know!”

Bittoo was happy for another reason. He was going to meet Rita. He had a crush on her.. no..not crush. He was in love with her. Her silky smooth hair, chubby pink cheeks, her pearly whites and her sweet-smelling perfume…. She was his first love.

So off went Bittoo, to meet the love of his life.

“Bittoooooo!”

“Rita! H..hi. How are you?”

Rita couldn’t stop pulling his cheeks. “Oh my Bittoo pie, you are really chubbyyyyy”

“Stop pulling my cheeks, Rita. People are staring at us!”

“Oh well, today is friendship’s day too, you see. They will stop staring when I tie you a friksha band.”

Bittoo was so smitten that….

“Here you go Bittoo. So, do you like it?”, said Rita, tying a “friksha” band to his wrist.

“This is so beautiful, Rita! Wait… why does this say bhaiyya?”

“Oh Buddhu! I told you its a friksha band – friendship+raksha bandhan. After all, you are not just a friend, you are my best friend and my brother!”

Orange wrote a story on how Rekha and Nitin bro-zoned each other. (The Rekha in her story is not me!) You can read it here. One thing led to another and I decided to write a story on how an innocent, poor soul got bro-zoned by the love of his life. πŸ˜›

NOTE: Raksha Bandhan is the celebration of any brother-sister like relationship.

What a cute little story! So cute that Bittoo got a friendship friksha band…and he is treated as just a friend πŸ˜€ But a lot of love starts out of a friendship and who knows, maybe there is more to the story you wrote. Brilliantly done πŸ™‚ ❀

Thanks Mabel πŸ™‚ he’s not just a friend, he’s her brother too. Raksha Bandhan is when one sees someone as a brother figure. So most of the guys hate this day. πŸ˜‰
