365 days of Flower Photography : Day 13

Finally, after a lot of Google search, I found the name of these flowers. These are called painted daisies. It hardly looks like a daisy, isn’t it? I always thought it (the above flower) belonged to poppy family.

Isn’t it. 🙂 No wonder they are called painted daisies. I saw these only once in the flower shows, may be they are one of those delicate types.

i love too many gerberas, gladioli, lavender and heaps more but sadly daisies and chrysanthemums don’t appeal at all 😦

Isn’t it, Shalini. 😊 I never saw them again in the flower show, looks like they don’t grow well in Indian climate.

Yeah. But surprisingly there was this one flower called Canterbury bells, my aunt bought seeds of it from USA. She said the seeds did not germinate at her place and here it did. I think plants have started adjusting to new climate and surroundings 😀
